Let Go

Following my diagnosis of Younger Onset Alzheimer’s Disease in July 2019, I came to the conclusion that, in order to move forward and live a better life, you need to let go of all the goals, ambitions and expectations that were associated with your previous life and make room for the new life you are creating for yourself. Otherwise, you run the risk of holding onto your resentment, pain and anger which will in turn, hinder any progress that you want to make in the future.

In my case, after spending 35 years in the educational field, two stints as Deputy Principal in two private schools, I was now aspiring to become a Headmaster of my own school. For me this goal is now in the past. What is now important, is that I work towards achieving the new goals, ambitions and expectations in the chosen life that I have put in front of me.
